Seven ICPC Board Members are inaugurated by Buhari.
Seven individuals have been sworn in as board members of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related crimes Commission by President Muhammadu Buhari (ICPC).
After the ratification by the Nigerian Senate, the inauguration took place on Wednesday in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
According to PREMIUM TIMES, President Buhari reappointed the members in January.
These are Yahaya Dauda (Nasarawa State), Adamu Bello (Katsina State), Hannatu Mohammed (Jigawa State), Olubukola Balogun (Lagos State), Obiora Igwedibia (Anambra State), Abdullahi Saidu (Niger State), and Grace Chinda (Rivers State).
They join the other five ICPC board members who were all approved by the Senate a year ago.
The South-east zone is represented by Anthony Agbo from Ebonyi State, and Anne Otelafu from the South-South, and Goni Gujba from the Northeast, both from Yobe State.
The other two are former Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Olugbenga Adeyanju from Ekiti State who represents the South-west zone and Louis Mandama from Adamawa State who represents the North-east.
The Proceeds of Crimes (Recovery and Management) Bill, 2022 (SB. 553 & SB. 645) was read a third time and passed, according to a series of tweets from the Nigerian Senate's verified Twitter account.
